Straight answers to the questions people ask before getting a business website: cost, ownership, SEO, GEO and AI search.
Getting a website
Can a small business really get a website for free?
Yes. With Que Labs' free option you pay RM0 upfront. We design and build a custom website, you own it from day one, and you pay a fixed monthly technical support fee for a set period. If you prefer to pay once and manage support yourself, the pay-once option starts from RM500.
How much does a business website cost?
It depends on the size and the support you want. At Que Labs there are two options: Free website (RM0 upfront, with a fixed monthly technical support fee for a set period) and Pay once (from RM500 upfront, technical support optional from RM99 a month). Prices are quoted in Malaysian ringgit and we can quote in your currency.
Do I own my website?
Yes. Under both Que Labs options the client owns the website from day one.
What is the difference between a custom website and a template?
A template is a pre-made design that many businesses share. A custom website is designed around one business: its brand, customers, services and industry. Every Que Labs website is custom designed. The samples on this site show the standard we build to; they are not templates to pick from.
What do I need to prepare before a web designer starts?
Your business name, what you offer, contact details such as WhatsApp, and any logo or photos you already have. Que Labs can also use public photos from your pages with your permission.
Can a web designer work with me remotely, in another country?
Yes. Que Labs works with clients around the world over WhatsApp and email. Nothing needs to be done in person.
Do I need a website if I already have Facebook or Instagram?
A website is a page you own and control, and it can be found through search engines and AI assistants. Social media pages depend on a platform you do not control. Most businesses use both: social media to reach people, and a website as the main place that explains the business and how to contact it.
Being found: SEO and GEO
What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation)?
GEO is the practice of structuring a website so AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity can read it, understand it and cite it in answers. It uses clear question-and-answer content, accurate industry facts, structured data and an llms.txt file.
What is the difference between SEO and GEO?
SEO helps a website rank in search engine results pages. GEO helps a website be understood and quoted inside AI-generated answers. They overlap: clear structure, accurate content and fast pages help both. Que Labs builds both into every website.
How do I get my business recommended by ChatGPT or other AI assistants?
No one can guarantee a recommendation. What helps is a fast, clearly structured website that states plainly what you do, where, and for whom; answers real customer questions; and includes structured data (schema) and an llms.txt file. This is what Que Labs adds to every website.
What is llms.txt?
llms.txt is a plain text file at the root of a website that summarises the business and links to its key pages in a format that AI systems can read easily. Que Labs includes one with every website.
What is structured data (schema markup)?
Structured data is code added to a page that tells search engines and AI exactly what the page contains, such as the business name, services, opening hours, contact details and frequently asked questions. It is added in JSON-LD format and does not change how the page looks.
Can anyone guarantee a number one ranking?
No. Search engines and AI assistants decide rankings and answers themselves. A trustworthy designer will not promise a position. What can be done is to make the website fast, secure, clearly structured and easy for both to read.
How long does it take for a new website to appear in search?
It varies. A new website has to be discovered and assessed by search engines, which can take from days to several weeks. Submitting a sitemap and having clear, useful content helps it happen sooner.
Security, support and contact
Why do Que Labs websites use WhatsApp instead of booking forms or logins?
On purpose, for security. A website with no logins, no payment forms and no booking system has far less that can be attacked or needs constant patching. Visitors contact the business directly on WhatsApp, which most customers already use.
What does technical support cover?
Content updates such as hours, prices and photos, fixes, and keeping the website running smoothly.
What happens after the fixed support period in the free option?
You still own the website. We will agree the terms for continuing support, or for you to take over, when the agreement is made.
Can you help me register a domain and publish the website?
Yes. Que Labs can help you register your own domain and publish the website. Message us on WhatsApp and we will explain the options.
Industries
Which industries does Que Labs design websites for?
All of them. Samples are available for clinics (dental, physio, optical, general practice, chiropractic, aesthetic and beauty), manufacturing, wholesale and trading, retail, restaurants, property, and technology. If your industry is not listed, we will design for it.
Can you build a website for a manufacturing or factory business?
Yes. Manufacturing websites focus on capabilities, certifications, product ranges, photos of the facility and a clear way for buyers to send an enquiry. See the manufacturing samples on the Industries page.
Can you build a website for a clinic or dental practice?
Yes. Clinic websites focus on services, doctors, opening hours, location and a one-tap WhatsApp contact. There are 23 clinic samples across seven types.
